Langur in tree
The monkeys that Jana’s Gurkha piper, Lal Bahadur Pun, chases out of the Jolly Grant House are brown rhesus macaques. Rhesus monkeys used to run across the roofs at Woodstock School and get into the dorm rooms and steal our hair brushes and jewelry. The larger langurs hung out in the woods, throwing chestnuts at humans if threatened.
